One of our little Lunchbox fans sent this adorable picture to us. It was too cute not to post. She looks awesome in this outfit. I think this sunglass tee gives the perfect pink touch to any casual play outfit. Whether you’re out in the park or playing in the tent house. This tee shirt will light up any room. Literally.

Check out the boys sunglass tee.

So there is no denying that summer is officially here!  I am reminded of the hot weather as I feel the warm rays of the sun through the window in our Los Angeles office, and wishing I had an ice cold lemonade and laying out by the pool.  It is that time again, so pull out those tank tops, shorts, and sandals. The best thing about summer is spending quality time outdoors with the family, whether its going on a bike ride, going to a theme park, or enjoying a day at the beach. One of our little models we have for Our Upper School line is all ready for summer as she wears one of our orange tanks and our navy shorts.  Isn’t this pretty much a child’s uniform for summer? What I love about this look is both the simplicity of it and the extra touch, with the stripes and the bias binding on the short.

I think the key for keeping your child in style over the summer is looking for pieces that are simple but that have something else that sets it apart from what others are wearing. I know that as a child I was always a fashionista.  I would wear glitter tops everywhere and jelly shoes with a blinged out rhinestone.  A child of the 90′s!  Kids today though are simpler but they definitely have a lot more style.

Look for summer outfits that are versatile that can be either dressed up or down! Our girl can add a Hoodie for a chilly evening and some Uggs or a cardigan with converse to complete her transition.  But just remember to have fun! kids love summer and being comfortable so don’t over think their wardrobe.  Just make sure they look cute!

If your child looks like he or she is the creative type, they could possibly be interested in entering the fashion industry in the future. Though fashion is only one way to be creative, it’s a very large industry in our world today. I know I was one of those kids. I ended up going to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. FIDM not only has fashion majors but also graphic, interior, and digital design, among others.

Flat Stanley is one of the most well known school projects, not only in the nation, but also worldwide. We received a Flat Stanley from one of our friends from North Carolina and decided to take him around on Hollywood boulevard and to one of our photo shoots. He got to meet Marilyn Monroe and even was able to see the infamous Hollywood sign. He looked like he was having lots of fun with a big smile on his face the whole time. I think that the Flat Stanley Project is a really neat way for people to connect and learn about the different places of the world. Also a great way to show your creativity is to style Flat Stanley in the way you think is appropriate for the city he’s visiting. You can check out these latest designs for inspiration to dress up your Stanley and make him look cool, relaxed and comfortable wherever in the world he goes.

Ok so I know that you probably know this by now, but I had to share my favorite children’s fashion trend. Skinny jeans are no longer only for hip, stylish teens and young adults, now I’m seeing almost every child sporting this trend. Skinny jeans would go perfect with a graphic hoodie to give the outfit a more stylish feeling. I think this is a great look, though it makes the child look more mature, it also makes the child look more trendy as well…and who doesn’t want their kid to be trendy?

“Don’t worry, I won’t make a mess.”

Today is the very first Lunchbox picture of the day and we have chosen this very lovable outfit, not only because it is adorable on little Esme, but also because this dress can be worn just about anywhere. Take her out to the park, a family brunch, it’s even the perfect 1st-day-of-school dress. Mom, don’t worry about her getting lollipop all over herself; the dress is machine washable. So she can wear it again and again.“Oops…”
